The University of Richmond Joins HEALTHEFIT in Raising the Bar for Medical Fitness

HEALTHEFIT is pleased to welcome the University of Richmond as our newest Credentialing Partner. July 1, 2021 marked the first day that the Medical Fitness Practitioner Course will be offered to students through the School of Professional & Continuing Studies at the University of Richmond!

We are excited about this partnership as the value in what this credential brings to the students of the University as upon completion they will have career opportunities supported by physician practices and healthcare. A benefit that was quickly recognized by Mary C. Rayomond, Senior Program Manager through the diligent efforts of Tim Crooks our Director of Higher Education Relations.

We were delighted to learn that after only one month of receiving our proposal, the Associate Dean liked the curriculum and agreed that the University can move forward with next steps. Shortly after sending the details over to their Admin and Finance department, and we heard back from them within two weeks and the rest is history.

This example of a institution of higher learning recognizing the wide gap between graduation and career placement for Exercise Science/Physiology majors is refreshing. Students can enroll during the cohort set by the University and have 6 months to complete the course. Upon successful completion of the course and passing the examination, they receive their Medical Fitness Practitioner Credential through the University of Richmond.
